With a few strokes of makeup brushes and intelligent conceptualization, 22-year-old Promise Tamang Phan from nepal can turn herself into any celebrity- be it actors angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Scarlett Johansson, singer Taylor Swift or legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson. One would think that it takes years of experience and professional training to achieve such a feat, but Promise springs another surprise by calling herself an amateur artist who is purely self-taught. She use makeup instead of pencils, and her face have replaced paper, she regularly posts makeup tutorials under the Youtube handle dope2111. One five-minute-long clip showing her turning herself into Tomb Raider star Jolie has racked up a massive FOURTEEN MILLION hits.

Nepalese-born Promise, who lives in the US, says on her Facebook page that she is not a professional make-up artist and has never taken any lessons.Talking about her inspiration, she says, “Growing up I never felt that I was pretty, so I constantly try different techniques to enhance my facial features. But this insecurity turned out to be in my favor; it gave me the idea to experiment with different characters. However, I don’t wear too much makeup in real life.”Promise is currently working on turning into singer-actor Jennifer Lopez, musician Chris Brown and late singer Amy Winehouse. Her first video tutorial was on Na’vi princess Neytiri’s look from filmmaker James Cameron’s Avatar; and it got her an encouraging feeback. Her amazing videos have turned her into the latest internet sensation, with nearly 100million viewers tuning in over the last few weeks.

46-year-old James Kuhn uses his face as canvas, to create some of the most eccentric face-paintings you’ve ever seen.

James Kuhn (born November 19, 1961) is a visual artist from Three Oaks, Michigan known for his face painting and performance pieces. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

He is famous for taking on a project that implied drawing a different thing on his face, every day, for an entire year.

A man of many faces, artist James Kuhn creates some of the most incredible and bizarre masks ever seen. The eccentric face painter calls his creations “self-portraits” because he uses his own face as the canvas for his artwork.

James Kuhn has considered him an artist for his whole life, but it wasn't until he grew up that he began painting his own face with a new theme every single day. He decided to do one new face painting a day for a year, in the vein of the other “365 days of self portraits” projects.

His “self-portraits” include different animals, foods, cartoon characters and pretty much anything you can think of.

Kuhn himself admits he is addicted to face painting, always thinking about what his next design will be.
